About TALK TALK

You’ll get even more out of Talk Talk if you are a regular landline telephone user. Best Bits
Talk Talk are currently offering a quite amazing 6 months half price for their entry level broadband deal. That means you’ll pay £3.25/month for 6 months and £6.50mth thereafter, making the total cost of a 12 month contract a mere £58.50! This price doesn’t include the £13.80 a month line rental cost (or £9.50 value line rental where you pay in advance), but if you order online there will be no connection fee saving £30!
Sorry I can't see any rating lower than one star. Never believe Broad band and Tele service could be as bad as this one, can be the worst in the whole wide world. We made a mistake, thought TALKTALK was cheaper, as the service was poor. However once join you find there are endless over –charge- traps there. The worst thing is you have to pay and pay to get out from this service, not only your money, your time and life as well. I don't know how bad other providers do, but definitely stay away from this one Talktalk. Just wonder really no any organization limit their behaves in this country? Don’t say that they had been fined for this, some people in the company should be punished for the rip-off crime.

Overall, a poor service but then I have had a lot worse from Virgin and Tiscali.
The idea is good but the company does not deliver.
To start, the sales team WILL lie to get you to sign up (that is from experience).
Then actually getting anything done is a nightmare - endless chasing round in circles trying to get someone to bother with initial connection and then maintenance.
If things are OK all well and good but you NEVER want to contact customer services.
There are one or two gems in the customer services department who can actually speak English and try really hard but the majority are not capable of delivering any customer service (lack of comprehension, lack of ability and lack of power are the main obstacles).
Add top of that the usual sharp practice of big business and it can be a total headache.
On the plus side:
- when it works, it is a good deal,
- over the years, I have had worse sharp practice from Virgin and Tiscali (using contract law to insist I

WARNING 1
Warning do not sign up with these liars! I signed up for the plus(pro) package with talktalk (well this is what I thought!) WHAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU is that first you will be put on the essentials package and charged for the plus package at the same time! until your go live date at which time they SHOULD be able to change it not even a guarantee. I have been given 4 different go live dates now and have been waiting 2 months! I still haven't got my broadband on, as for the phone this is working, after having the day off for the technician to install my line and him not turning up without them letting me know really pi**ed me off. WOW 2 weeks later he actually turned up to do it. Did I mention I had to pay a deposit of £69.99 not the £29.99 that they advertised! As for the customer service this is what's the real joke seriously You phone up, get put threw to different people who don't know what there doing some off them even told me my account d

Talk Talk rip off 1
I was with Tiscali for over a year and was very happy them, free phone line and the usual free usage and unlimited downloads, I also had an 8mb connection running at around 6.5mb.
Now that Talk Talk has taken over, they sent me an email telling me that my account would not be changed ie:- UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS - WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP.
The next email about a 2 weeks later they tell me that they are limiting my broadband downloads to 40GB.
I rang them up to find out what was going on and the lady on the phone said that unless I switched to the Pro version I would not be able to get UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS only the 40GB limit per month, so I got the best deal I could at the time which includes the POXY DOWNLOAD 40GB LIMIT.
The lady on the phone was only interested in the downloading of music and how much I would be able download, this is rubbish as I do not download the stupid music that the kids nowadays are listening to(its just noise to me).
As I watch streamed videos from the net eve

Frustrating Service 1
I have been with TalkTalk since 2005. In the last two years their broadband service has continued to get worse and worse. It is now practically non exsistent. The ADSL connection is severed for hours at a time and sometimes days. Once it was for an entire week. I have missed my online classes and live sessions. It is going to take me ages to catch up because I have missed so many because of no broadband service. It is ridiculous.

liars; stay away from them 3
liars; stay awat from them
I signed up for TalkTalk last year March. They told us they were increasing inclusive international countries to include African countries, they were lying they wanted us to join. A year later there has been no changes. I am cancelling and going back to my provider "Post Office" they are excellent providers and have better deals than TalkTalk... a bunch of liars. Don't use them, otherwise you will end up commiting suicide. they are useless. My line was not working, so I had problem reaching them as they have 0870... number for customer services and it meant paying a lot on a call box. When I asked them to reimburse me the cost and to improve their service sothat they have 0800... numbers for emergencies. I was told "you should have made a phone call from a friend's phone". I find this insulting as I don't have frends here, did they expect me to go and knock at neighbours and ask them to

Worst Broadband provider in the planet 1
I joined Talktalk in september 2008, after testing my line they told me the speed will be 3Mb, but for almost 6 months I have been getting 56K, every time you call them they promised they will get someone from Level 2 (TECHNICAL TEAM) to call you to resolve the issue, guess what they do not call. I can tell you as a VP of Technical Operations of an organisation that provide business DSL in UK, they have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. in Summary "STAY CLEAR OF THEM DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEIR SERVICES OTHERWISE YOU WILL COMMIT SUICIDE"

Talk Talk Suck 3
We signed up for Talk Talk last year, we left within the 28 days cancellation period. Talk Talk was hell on earth. God only knows how many calls we made to customer service (Ha Ha) on hold for up to 70 minutes and then cut off. Broadband service was slow or did not work at all. Talk Talk Really are full of ****. Talk Talk also dont tell you that if you want to leave them then it will cost you £125 to have your line reconnected to BT, you get to find out that liitle gem after you have cancelled. I would rather cut off, deep fry and eat my on testicals than ever have to deal with Talk Talk again. My advice stay well clear because you will end up ripping your hair our in anger. We are looking to take Talk Talk to court if they do not repay the reconnection charge back to us that we have to pay to BT to get our old phone line connected.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Disatisfactory 1
Talk Talk promised free broadband. 2 years later (and hell on the phone to their customer services (ha ha) and not only no forseeable free broadband, but they have raised their prices! Astonishingly irritating, unbeleivable stressful and singularly unhelpful - not to mention lying. We are leaving them this month and I don't suppose they'll even miss us - we certainly won't miss them.

A bit more about TALK TALK
Emerging as a subsidiary of The Carphone Warehouse in 2003, Talk Talk was initially marketed as a direct competitor to BT in the landline telecommunications market. Soon after in 2004, Talk Talk broadband was launched and has since been merged with ISPs Tiscali and AOL UK, with the latter retaining its brand identity and online content. In 2010 Talk Talk was demerged from The Carphone Warehouse and is now a standalone company offering landline and mobile telephone services as well as broadband. Talk Talk is a notable advocate of net privacy rights and has recently taken an unprecedented stand against anti-piracy lawsuits, outright refusing the submit user information to authorities without a court order.
