Plusnet currently offer landline telephone services and both standard broadband (up to 20mb download speed) and superfast fibre-optic broadband (up to 40mb download speed) packages. They also offer a ‘no annual contracts’ option in which you simply pay for your router (either £20 or £40) and the £25 broadband activation charge and you’re free to cancel your subscription with 10 days notice.

Plusnet have long been at the forefront of UK Internet service providing – there history in fact goes back as far as 1997 when a computer peripherals company known as Choice Peripherals launched their Force9 dial-up service. In 2000 Force9 became Plusnet and this new brand became the first ISP in the UK to offer real 24/7 unmetered dial-up connections. Later that same year the company also introduced a 512kbps broadband service, making Plusnet broadband one of the very first UK broadband suppliers! Plusnet is still looking to the future though, and since being acquiesced by BT in early 2007 they have maintained steady growth, mainly thanks to their innovative customer referral system.
